I'm a curious person, and curiosity informs a lot of what I do when working with individuals and teams. One manifestation of curiosity is running experiments, and there is no question that there is plenty to be curious about, and to explore, within the context of any group or team. Retrospectives are a case in point. There is a big difference between a feeling like "here we go again, another retrospective," and "I'm looking forward to having a candid conversation with my colleagues." I do my utmost to help arrive at a place where retrospectives are greeted with enthusiasm, not dread.
